Way of Life
Here are some frases and quotes that best describe my way of life:
- 'Don't live for tomorrow what you can do today' (Dad)
- 'You gain strength, experience, and confidence by every experience where you really stop to look fear in the face... You must do the thing you cannot do' (Eleanor Roosevelt)
- 'The human soul can bear everything, except the absence of meaning for life. If you have a reason, then you can bear everything' (Viktor Frankl)
- 'What you take from life is the life you lead' (Brazilian saying)
- 'Take calculated risks. That is quite different from being rash' (George Patton)
- 'For each choice, one renunciation' (another Brazilian saying)

- 'Meet success like a gentleman and disaster like a man' (Frederick Edwin Smith)
- 'I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have' (Thomas Jefferson)
- 'I did not ask for be born.. I did not be born to lose... Neither I am going to remain victim of the circumstances...' (Lulu Santos)
Interests
Sports: Swimming; Jogging; Fitness; Chess; Trekking & Camping;
I currently swim and go to the gym twice a week in a place near home. However, since I have arrived in Japan I still didn't have the opportunity for trekking & camping yet. So, if you also enjoy it and would like one day to explore the Japanese countryside with me, please drop me a line. I am planning, for example, to climb Mont Fuji now in the summer!
Backpacking: I just love travelling. At this moment, I am very interested to visit some Asian countries (India, China, Cambodia, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand...) and, of course, explore better Japan. I have plans to go to India this year! Any tips and hints?
P.S. If you want to know about the places and countries I have been, you can check some pictures in the photo galery.
Wine & Cooking: I can say I love all kinds of food (French, Italian, Greek, Brazilian...) but my favourite ones are Asian.
I enjoying going to Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Indian restaurants and cooking these at home. If you want, you check some of my 'creations' in the photo gallery or simply pass by home to try it. Although I am still not very good at it, I am improving...
Languages: 'The limits of my language mean the limits of the world'
I also enjoy learning languages and picking up small phrases here and there. I have as a personal aim to speak fluently several languages, and I hope I will do it someday.
My current challenge (and a very big one) is to learn Japanese. I am currently taking classes twice a week, but since it's still not enough, I am looking for friends to help me with the language. If you are interested, I would be glad to help you with my languages skills too.
